DIET

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."  --Hippocrates

Food is literally information for our cells. It effects us on a cellular level and has the power to hurt or heal us. Our choices have real effects on our energy levels, mood, and overall health. Making mindful choices about what we eat involves being aware of the nutritional value of the foods we consume and how they nourish our bodies. Opting for whole, unprocessed foods ensures we get the essential nutrients our bodies need to function well.

We will talk about things like:

  • reducing/eliminating processed foods and why
  • opting for whole-, minimally-processed foods and why
  • a balanced and varied diet that provides vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants
  • food quality and sources
  • mindful eating practices - paying attention to hunger and fullness cues
  • creating a positive relationship with food and much more
