STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress can have pervassive effects on the body, impacting various physiological systems and contributing to both short-term and long-term health problems such as the activation of hormones and our stress response, increased heart rate and blood pressure, supressed immune function, muscle tension and pain, mental health problems, sleep disturbances, weight gain and increased risk of chronic disease.


We will talk about things like:

  • deep breathing techniques
  • gratitude practice
  • meditation practice
  • how diet, exercise, and sleep effect stress
  • the difference between purposeful stress and negative emotional stress
  • naming emotions
  • self-awareness
  • how environmental toxins fit under the stress umbrella
  • heat exposure (i.e., sauna)
  • cold exposure (i.e., cold plunging)
  • taking care of your spiritual needs
  • seeking professional help
  • addressing trauma and much more
